Public Listening / Radio Feature: Lüftung#1
“How do you feel?” An incursion into art critique from the point of view of non-experts
English
Entrance: free
Jasmina Al-Qaisi will press play to fragments of the podcast created during Lüftung workshop; will share the content of her USB key; will vouch for collective creativity & will discuss possibilities, freedoms and claiming space/voice in traditional media.
The radio broadcast Lüftung#1 responds to the research conducted by the project group “Left Performance Histories”, whose publication will come out this summer. The audio piece is a collage of documentary recordings from the conference accompanying the project, field recordings from the exhibition, as well as poetic and scenic feeds and pop music from the geographical and historical contexts of the exhibits.
This year’s experimental art outreach project “Lüftung” by Anna Bromley explores to what extent hierarchy-free and collective comments and questions related to the ongoing exhibitions of the nGbK can be broadcasted. In workshops lasting several days, 60-minute audio pieces will be produced, jointly conceived and spoken by groups of persons interested in exhibitions and/or radio and in the nGbK. In this manner, themes and questions related to the nGbK projects will literally go on air with the voices of both the projects groups and the visitors, and be presented on the nGbK’s website.
