Do democratic modes of action in the production of art and culture create resources that can be used in the sense of self-determined education?
The starting point of the events are grassroots working methods and the understanding of democracy of the Neue Gesellschaft für Bildende Kunst since its foundation in 1969. For one week, the gallery spaces of the NGBK will be transformed to the “inside” of the institution, in order to publicly explore, marvel at and criticise it.
The research of the Reiseagentur (Art Mediation NGBK: Birgit Auf der Lauer and Anja Bodanowitz) will be bundled in performative, visual and discursive formats and continued with participants in the exhibition space.
